OUTFITT runs from 6pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, rain hail or shine – including public holidays. Meeting outside of the Blue Duck on Marine Parade in Cottesloe WA, the sessions are combination of speed, strength, flexibility and high intensity training. Each session involves a combination of running, swimming, body weight exercises and various equipment to place people outside their comfort zone and test participant’s limits, with no class ever the same.
A minimum standard of fitness is required to join. Beginner sessions are available for those not yet fit enough to join the main group, which are run by Mark Familton from 6 – 7pm Wednesday and Friday evenings.
Anyone is welcome to join OUTFITT, however, the main objective is to encourage friends of existing surf club members to become lifesavers themselves and keep the team ‘rescue-ready’ all year round.

There is a huge amount of research showing exercise, particularly high-intensity interval training has a positive impact on mental health it is now being used effectively to treat depression and PTSD as well as heart disease and a raft of other physical conditions.
Our pricing structure is designed to encourage non-members to become surf life savers with surf club members (any club) paying only $5 per session compared to non- surf club members $10 each.
Our trainers are not paid to run the class, all money collected goes directly toward insurance, equipment, social activities and supporting club members who need special equipment or donations to worthy causes.
